Office 365 Sr. Engineer Role 

Primary Location: Chandigarh

The Role

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and some experience should have sound knowledge of Exchange online hybrid and security  . We are looking for candidates with a combination of strong technical, analysis, and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree/technical certification in Computer Science or related and a minimum of 5 years of actual work experience.

Someone who can work in a collaborative way to provide services across multiple client departments while adhering to requirements. You will need a practical approach to solving issues and complex problems with the ability to deliver insightful and practical solutions.

 The Office 365 Sr. Engineer will have core responsibilities including but not limited to;

  • Manage Office 365 and monitor Office 365 service health
  • Evaluate Office 365 capabilities, make recommendations for leveraging new features, and assist with user adoption.
  • Administer the Exchange Online hybrid environment
  • Administer the Proofpoint Email Protection environment.
  • Keep up with industry knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, concepts, best practices
  • Microsoft Teams administration and creating a deployment strategy to migrate from Skype
  • Maintain a highly secure Office 365 system through proper configuration in conjunction with the Information security team.
  • Work closely with Information Security to establish Office 365 access monitoring and auditing
  • Troubleshoot Office 365 issues including connectivity and mobility
  • Office 365 and active directory user administration, including the removal of user accounts, management of service requests, file sharing, and permissions, group policies, etc.
  • On-going analysis of current Office 365 security features
  • Serve as a knowledge expert on Office 365 applications, advising on best practices of use and third-party integrations
  • Assist in the architecture and administration of security policies encompassing all Office 365 and Azure services
  • Administer Microsoft Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Define and build Office 365 administrative procedures
  • Recommend and implement governance techniques
  • Assist with Office 365 Pro Plus deployment groups and coordinate the release of the respective Office 365 Pro Plus updates to users
  • Champion the adoption of Office 365 services as appropriate for our business 


  • 5-8 years of Office 365 and SharePoint Online administration experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Office 365 Groups architecture
  • 5-8 years of Azure AD and Exchange Online administration experience
  • Knowledge of Authentication, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Conditional Access Policies
  • Clear communicator with excellent writing and strong presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Good technical problem analysis/solving skills
  • Proven ability to work well in and contribute to a team environment
  • Solid understanding of Windows administration and PowerShell scripting
  • Microsoft certifications a plus
